Your Wellbeing Coaching Programme will enable you to flourish at work again. I can help you to feel better in your professional life and I can help you to learn specific, evidence-based skills to manage yourself, connect with others, and rediscover balance, compassion, and integration in your working life. Coaching with me leads to an average of 19.1% improvement in validated wellbeing scores after an average of 5.4 sessions (p<0.0001).
I have spent over 25 years studying, teaching, researching and developing wellbeing interventions in the field of emotional wellbeing. My undergraduate psychology degree in 1993 included the first module in the UK on ‘positive psychology’: I studied this brand new science including ‘flow’ and ‘flourishing’. My Masters in Health Promotion and Health Education (1999) focused on improving emotional wellbeing. I’m trained as a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teacher, and to a high level in a range of 3rd Wave Cognitive Behaviour Therapies (MBCT, Compassion Focused approaches, Acceptance and Commitment based approaches) and in self-directed neuroplasticity applied to the coaching context.
Please note I am not a clinician or a therapist in this relationship, and I will be very explicit with you around what I can and cannot provide as a coach and mentor. The focus will always be on your professional life including the balance between work and personal life. We will be able to discuss your needs further in our Consultation and contracting processes: I may ask you to check with a clinician before we proceed.
Wellbeing Coaching is integrated within my Leadership Coaching and/or Career Coaching as part of a mixed programme: every coaching programme is bespoke to your specific needs, with clear goal setting at the start of our relationship together.
All Coaching sessions are 90 minutes long, and are usually held 2-3 weeks apart for four or more sessions (12 hours+ CPD).
Clear personal and professional goal setting at the start of your programme with mid-programme progress reviews; goals may be jointly agreed with your employer at your discretion
Bespoke evidence-based coaching interventions tailored to your specific needs and goals focusing on leadership development, wellbeing, and/or career development
Every session includes: session goal setting; review of experiential learning between sessions; work on session goal(s); reflection and summary of insights from the session; identification of specific between-session actions
Post-session email summary within 24 hours with self-directed learning materials to build theoretical knowledge and experiential learning
Post-session reflection process in line with GMC/ FPH / FMLM requirements for reflective practice, and pre-session planning process to help you to make the most of each session
Access to online client resources (wider reading, recommendations, podcasts etc)
Unlimited between session support from Fiona by phone and email during office hours
In person in Fiona’s consulting room in North Leeds, or online on Zoom or other platform of your choice (currently online only due to Covid-19)
Wellbeing Coaching is suitable for:
