Fiona Day Consulting Learner Support Policy

This policy covers what learners can expect in terms of support while learning on a course, workshop or group supervision, or in coaching or supervision sessions with Fiona Day Consulting LTD.

1.Inclusive learning

Fiona Day Consulting LTD is committed to inclusive learning and widening participation across all programmes, and is committed to Inclusion and Belonging.

Fiona Day offers a Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice. All coaching and supervision sessions and courses are designed to be neuroinclusive to accommodate the needs of neurodivergent and neurodiverse participants. Please let Fiona know if you have any additional learning support needs.

2. Unique learning goals

Participants in all forms of learning (e-learning, 1:1 coaching programmes and coaching/mentoring skills courses and supervision) will be supported to develop and meet their own unique learning goals. This may be in addition to expected minimum learning outcomes.

3.Requests for additional support

Dr Fiona Day, will respond to any requests for help as soon as possible and will respond within a maximum of 14 working days.

4.Inability to attend a pre-planned Course, Workshop or Group Supervision session

Certified Courses: If a participant is unable to attend a core component in a Certificated Course, then Fiona will support the learner to attain the necessary competencies outwith the Group environment where feasible – however if the participant has missed ]key learning which needs to be achieved through attending part of the course in a group environment then the participant will need to join a future Course. There may be a proportionate charge for this at the Trainer’s discretion.

Certificated Course Group Supervision: If a participant is unable to attend a Group Supervision session which is part of a Certificated Course, then they may purchase a replacement group or 1:1 supervision session from Dr Fiona Day.

Group Supervision (outwith certificated course): 7 days notice cancellation is required. Can be rescheduled up to 7 days before the session.

Non-Certificated Workshop or Course (individually purchased place on a course): 28 days notice cancellation is required. You may swap with a colleague if you wish. There are no refunds if less than 28 days notice is given.

Non-Certificated Workshop or Course (commissioned as a cohort by eg employer): Alternative dates will be offered if appropriate. To cancel a cohort of more than 3 participants then 3 calendar months cancellation notice is required. There are no refunds if less than 3 calendar months notice is given.

5. Assessment decision timescales (Certificated Courses) 

A decision on the Assessment will be communicated to the Participant within 28 working days of submission.

6. Refunds

As per section 4 above, refunds for courses or supervision will apply in specific circumstances only. In the event of illness or other unforeseen situation, alternative dates will be offered in the first instance by Fiona Day Consulting LTD. Refunds will be offered should Fiona Day Consulting LTD or suitable Associates be unable to deliver the Course, Workshop or Group Supervision session where alternative dates or Associates cannot provide the Services commissioned.

7. Professional Standards 

Fiona Day Consulting LTD (‘The Company’) will perform the Services with all due skill, care and diligence in accordance. The Company warrants that Dr Fiona Day, has the necessary qualifications, ability and expertise to provide Services in a professional manner. Dr Fiona Day complies with the following:

1. Being a member of recognised coaching professional bodies (the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), and the British Psychological Society (BPS)); and as an Independently Accredited ‘Master Practitioner’ (EMCC); and ‘Chartered Psychologist’ in Coaching Psychology (BPS);
2. Being registered as a Supervisor to the requirements of the British Psychological Society’s Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS);
3. Works to professional standards as laid down by those professional bodies;
4. Acts in accordance with those professional bodies’ Codes of Ethics, Diversity Policies, Complaints and Disciplinary Processes, Guidelines for Supervision, and Continuous Professional Development requirements;
5. Complies with those Professional bodies’ Complaints and Disciplinary Processes.

 8. Complaints

Dr Fiona Day always welcomes constructive feedback on her performance and will be in regular dialogue with course participants to ensure the training is meeting their needs to the best of her ability. If a Course Participant believes the Training Course/Workshop or Group Supervision process is not working as desired, or wishes to make a complaint, the participant will inform Dr Fiona Day as soon as possible so that any issues can be resolved. In the case where this is not achieved to the Participant’s satisfaction, the Participant may contact the EMCC via www.emccuk.org or BPS via www.bps.org.uk
